Scoring and passing criteria help in evaluating learners' performance and controlling quiz reattempts. FreshLearn allows you to set scores for each correct answer, apply negative marking, define passing percentages, and add extra quiz security features.
Here is a detailed step-by-step video.
1.Correct Score Answer: Define the score a learner should earn for every correct response.Example: If each question should give 2 points, enter “2.”
2.Negative Score for Wrong Answer (Optional): If you want to deduct marks for incorrect answers, enter a negative value. Example: For every wrong answer 1 point will be deducted, enter”1”.
Pass Percentage & Attempts
1.Pass Percentage: Set the minimum percentage required to pass the assessment. Example: Enter “60” if learners must get 60% to pass.
2.Number of Attempts:Define how many times a learner can attempt the assessment.Example: Set it to “1” for a single attempt, or more as needed.
Security & Quiz Behavior
Under the Security Settings, you can enhance quiz integrity and user experience:
1. Show Random Questions:
Enables randomization of question order on each attempt.
2. Show Random Answers:
Randomizes the order of answer choices for each question.
3. Show Answer Key:
If enabled, learners will be able to view their responses along with the correct answers after completing the quiz
Final Step
Once you've updated the desired settings, make sure to Save your changes.
Tip
Use a mix of randomization and pass thresholds to make your assessments more dynamic and secure, especially for high-stakes or certificate-based courses.
